1. How does the system hold leads?
Leads are entered into the system either manually, with the Add Lead screen, or automatically from submitting a form on the Web site.
2. How do I manage a Lead?
Leads are put through a Sales cycle, starting with Suspect, moving through 7 steps to Closing the Sales. The system includes a step chart showing where every lead is in the Sales Cycle.
3. How do I assign a Task?
You assign tasks (phone calls, letters, emails, etc.) against the lead itself. You have the option of placing the lead on the integrated calendar. There is a Task screen where you see your assigned tasks. Once you complete the task, status it complete. It stays with the lead but drops of the active task list.
4. What about Sales Proposals?
You can upload a file and attach it to the lead. For example, if you create a MS Word proposal for a prospect, you upload that file and attach it directly to the lead. Then, when you access the lead, you have the associated proposal right there.
5. Does the system track Sales Statistics?
Yes. There is a sales statistics page where all sales activity, phone calls, meetings, closed sales, it posted. This makes it easy for a sales manager to know how everyone is performing.
6. How does the system manage multiple salesmen?
Leads that are put into the system are owned by a salesmen. A salesmen using the system sees only their leads, not everyones. Each salesmen has their own leads, contacts, and tasks. However this is just a subset of the total system activity that is reviewed by the sales manager.
7. How does the system produce Proposals?
When you work a lead you assign the products the prospect is wishing to buy. In the Sales System you have a list of your products. Each product has a paragraph for the proposal. When you Create a Proposal the system generates a MS Word doc with an overview, list of products, and price summary. Admittedly the proposal is a little rough when it comes out of the system, however it give the salesman an excellent starting document for the sale. The salesman reworks the document (in MS Word), saves it, the uploads it back to the system where it is attached to the lead.
